CatchMeKillMe Productions

I am again working for Ian Messenger of CatchMeKillMe Productions. You may see tweets from CatchMeKillMe that I post and I will add updates as well as films on my blog. If anyone wants assistance from me you are more than welcome to ask. If I have enough notice I can even work in other states.
I do believe CatchMeKillMe Productions is getting better and better and has been getting notoriety from some big names in horror. We are also always looking for ideas, actors etc so let me know if you are interested. This Friday filming starts for the Intruder. This is a true to life short film that could happen to anyone. In November another creepy contribution to horror will come out that could make you "weep." Thanks for reading and happy haunting.

Hesher-2010

I was talked into watching this film by a friend because the lead character, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, reminded her of someone we went to high school with. She wanted to see if I would come up with the same guy. I did!!!! Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe we all have gone to high school with someone like Hesher. Director-Spencer Susser
Most of the reviews say Hesher hated the world and everything in it. I do not believe that. I think he was just a misplaced guy who wanted a family, girlfriend and to be accepted. He just had a strange way of showing it however, but a lot of people are like that. I believe he did not know any other way to show his feelings. He learned a lot from the people he was with and I could see a Hesher II made.
I did not like the film myself but the acting was good. The kid, played by Devon Brochu I felt acted well. He was able to make the audience feel his emotions. His character was just as messed up as Hesher. The rest of the crew were mainly background material for these two characters. Natalie Portman and Rainn Wilson were also in the film.
I think the reason I disliked it was because it was honestly your run of the mill everyday life that small town people go through. There was nothing spectacular about the film. Unless you were rich, you knew someone like that or were that person. I found myself saying almost every other scene, wow that was my town or I knew someone with the same issue or that is me. Some people like to know there are similarities to their lives. I don't want to see it. I left that shit behind me and really don't want to go back.Watch it and see what you think. I would be happy to hear others opinions on this film.
I tried to upload a picture but apparently my brain injury has turned me developmentally disabled. :/ I apologize.

Remakes

There are too many remakes of good films. Please make a remake of a shitty film and make it good. I myself have a few ideas and I think they are good. I just don't have a director. I can't direct or use a camera worth shit.
It is not just horror movies but all films. Take for instance Footloose. Yet again another awesome 80's film that may end up tanking. Just my two cents. As usual I am not going to ramble. Just get to the point and be done with it.

Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark

It appears the  horror genre is morphing again. The age old ghost stories we were told as a kid by the camp fires are coming back but with creepier unwelcome guests. These are the kind of films that would keep us up at night and we would tell our younger sibling to torture them.
I like these kind of films because the mind is the scariest place to be. Of course Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark did not utilize that tactic. Instead, the creatures were seen too many times. I think the film would have been good if the creatures would have been unseen until close to the end.
While I feel the film is a bit cheesy for adults, I would be creeped out if I were a kid under the age of thirteen. If you want to ensure you scare the shit out of your little brother or sister this is the film to take them to. I would have liked to hear more about the history of Mr. Blackwood instead they focused all on the scaring of the little girl which is ok for a kid horror film.
The film has a lot of plot holes, but overall it is ok to see one time. I would wait for the DVD however.
The Director is Troy Nixey with Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce as the adult main characters. Bailee Madison is the young girl (Sally) who was sent to live with her father, unbeknownst to her. Katie Holmes (Kim) is the girlfriend who is trying to create a relationship with Sally. Sally has a lot of psychological issues which I think would have been good to play off of to mess with the audiences minds. Instead nothing was left to the imagination as I stated earlier.
These creatures started acting up when Sally comes to live with her father. Apparently they want children so they try to befriend Sally so they can pull her into the depths of hell. The movie is basically about Sally trying to get someone to believe her about the creatures. Unfortunately there were bodies that could be used as proof but never were. That was just one of many issues with the film. If you want to sit back and just not think for a couple of hours this is not a bad film but I would not rank it over a two. It had potential. I did not know this is a remake of the 1970's made for TV horror trilogy by Dan Curtis. Of course there are differences but the concept was the same. A friend Aaron Overstreet, schooled me on that. I had never even heard of the trilogy. I am going to see if I can find it. I am sure it is better than this version.
