ANNA

Anna is a short film by Matt Solomon just in time for Halloween. Short horror and thriller films rarely make my blood pressure rise. Anna did. I got goose bumps. The concept of an old ghost story brought into the 21st century has not been done like this. It was freaky as hell and I do believe it will win if put into a film competition.
The actors made the film. Each scene I was watching their expressions and how they connected with each other. I was brought into their world their love their happiness and the pain.
The special effects that were used were subtle enough to make you think the events are really happening. This includes the makeup. I would recommend this film especially for filmmakers who are looking to create a perfect short film with all the fixings of a full feature thriller.
Let me give you some advise. You better research where you want to move before you move in or you may not live to regret it.

What I Have Been Up Too

I just directed a haunted house for a middle school. They made over $400.00. This was using $.50 a ticket. Not bad huh? Of course it would have been better if someone had not knocked down my Freddy Krueger Animatronic and broke him. Overall it was a success for the school. I did forget how mean kids could be though.
Next I taught my first make-up class on the 23rd. That went well. I bought too much makeup though.
The 28th I am having my own Halloween/Lia Sophia party. Yes I can make the Lia Sofia Party Rock like a Halloween party, no worries.
The 29th I am in a Murder Mystery. I get to play a very important part and am very excited!
Halloween I am hoping to give out candy. I have not done that in awhile. I will probably have to be a zombie because I will not have time to do anything else.

What are you all up to?

Hellraiser Revolution

This film was complete crap. I was assuming it was not going to be that good, but thought it would at least be entertaining. Was I wrong. I understand Weinstein had to make the movie because they were close to having the rights taken from them, but did they have to make it like a crappy You Tube video? In fact, I have seen You Tube films that have been better than this. Including "Anna" a short coming out on Halloween 2011.
This film did not star Doug Bradley. Why? Because he knew it would be crap (my opinion and he probably wanted more money than could be budgeted.) Most of the acting was crap too. This film was written by Gary Tunnicliffe, Directed by Victor Garcia, and the actors were Nick Eversman, Steven Brand, Tracey Fairaway, Jay Gillespie, Sanny Van Heteren, Daniel Buran, Devon Sorvari, and Stephan Smith Collins (Pinhead).
You should know the history by now. It started in 1987 and there have been many made since. I know at first some people thought this film was going to be a remake of the original. I could see that being there are a lot of them being made lately. I like the second Hellraiser the best, but the first three were pretty good. Doug Bradley was in all the Hellraiser films except for this one. I hope this is the last try.
If you are young, you may not mind this film because you have grown up on the remakes of old gory scary films. Most of the remakes, except for Rob Zombie films I feel don't have the WOW factor. They are weak.
If you are looking for tips on how NOT to make a film, this is a good one to watch.

Intruder-Ian Messenger/CatchMeKillMe Productions

In this day and age we need to be aware of people breaking into our homes and doing things unfathomable to us. This film hit home as it almost happened to me. If I had not opened the door as they were trying to break in and scared them to death I may have had the same experience as the girl in this film did. It is a very scary situation. make sure you watch this film and let me know what you think. I will let you all write the review for me.
